Cottage in the Norwegian woods

This small house, set on the recent forest harvesting, is used mostly in winter for skiing in the surrounding forests. House mimic the simple traditional form, but has a rather complicated and efficient layout – all rooms are arranged around the two rows of windows common room: on the first floor (clockwise) are the master bedroom, terrace, living room, kitchen, storage for ski equipment and supplies, entrance, two children’s bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor has bedrooms, a pantry and a nursery.

Used for the construction of traditional wooden structures of these places with good insulation (15 cm in the walls, 20 cm in the floor and 25 cm in the roof), exterior trim is made of dark boards, interior – full of light panels, roof and wooden furniture – pine plywood in place.
