Fredensborg House Design by Norm Architects

onas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn (Norm Architects) are the authors of this detached house situated in an area of steep slope in northern Copenhagen. Fredensborg House is inspired by an eclectic mix of architecture: the labyrinth of mountain villages in southern Europe, the Chinese temples and the Danish architect Jørn Utzon, reflected in the aesthetic rupture exterior / interior. At first glance, the building does not reveal its size until you are walking along the eastern facade, through a small way, to guide the ascent to the main entrance. Transferred this entry, the aesthetics of the house takes an unexpected turn and moves from one foreign country style interior a minimalist, white, serene and balanced within a distribution pseudo deliberately labyrinthine.
Inside the house, they highlight the wide central staircase, inspired in large part to the main pedestrian street of the people, ceilings of various heights and vast glass walls overlooking the garden. Life goes on in it in five different levels, connected by stairs. At the highest levels are the main bedroom, lounge, kitchen and lounge. To separate the different areas of the house, the architects have created a brick volumes containing the kitchen and fireplace.
