Stone house terrace


The house – a double answer to the specific topography of the land and rural processing methods, which have long formed a crude, rough landscape of the island Tsikladik. In the past the stone walls of dry rubble domesticated land for agricultural purposes by organizing the terrace of arable land and were the most prominent man-made interventions in this meager landscape. Today the island is interesting to others – as a place to rest. The project uses the traditional motifs of stone walls, terraces, creating an artificial landscape, while at the same time familiar to this area. (Aloni house) in Greece from deca ARCHITECTURE.

Two long stone wall between the gentle slopes connecting them, maintaining the continuity of the landscape. This solution makes the house the house is almost invisible.

The house has four courtyards which separate the interior into five parts, so that it turned out pretty secure. At the same time, it is full of light, rich in space and stunning views of the sea.
