Villa Savoy in France by Le Corbusier


Le Corbusier put their five principles of modern architecture in the Villa Savoy (1928-1930). Villa Savoy was built in Puasene (Poissy) among the rural landscape in the thin concrete piles. Located at different levels of terraces, catwalks, ramps and stairs, cut across the space, camera angles, open and changing during the motion, unexpected species in the gaps between the parts of the building – these methods are based on the principle of “space time”.

To determine the size of the house and its architect used the items they invented a modular system – Modulor – additional system of proportions based on the principle of “golden section”. The building had a huge impact on you next generation of architects.

In this building, as in other buildings, Le Corbusier decided his architectural ideas in concrete by developing guidelines and O. Perret T. Garnier. According to Siegfried Gidiona Le Corbusier was able, like no other, reinforced concrete frame in turn means an architectural expression.
